Hi,

Since my 2013 Everest climb 900, 000 Childline Counselling sessions with damaged children have taken place against a backdrop of 3.5 million contacts answered. That is one contact every 25 seconds. So it is clear that there is still more to be done.

I have been lucky enough to successfully summit Mount Everest 5 times over the last decade in an effort to raise much needed funds for the Nspcc/Childline's on-going battle against Child Sexual Abuse.

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children is a UK based charity charged with this vital work - I am proud to have been a Trustee and can personally vouch for the enormous impact this charity has on the lives of so many physically and emotionally violated children.

And so, on the 15th April 2017 I once again leave the comforts of home, this time to attempt a 6th Summit of Everest in order to raise substantial, much needed funds for horrifically abused children.

This and all my previous climbs have been self-funded - every single penny donated goes directly to the Nspcc and the children who desperately need it.

I ask that once again you join with me in my familiar campaign and dig as deep as possible in the knowledge that the NSPCC will put any donation made, to very good use.
