Story
I'm competing in three rides this year (the first 75 mile ride already completed, more as a training event) to prepare for the worst two (the Castle 100 and the Dragon Ride).
MAIN EVENTS: Both the Castle 100 (18 May) and Dragon Ride (8 June) are particularly hilly, the first with over 100 miles of relentless sharp uphill climbs round Kent and Sussex and the latter on an altogether bigger scale. 95 miles through the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons in Wales with over 10,000 feet of climbing.
To give you a flavour of the challenge, the distance and climb for the combined rides is the equivalent of 6 times up and down Snowdon using the Pyg Track and then cycling an additional 120 miles before finishing!
If you can spare some support for a very worthwhile charity it will ensure I don't walk up any hills (promise!)
Thanks very much
David
