We breed and train guide dogs to give blind people freedom and mobility

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We completed the 13.1miles in one piece (aside from the aching limbs and blisters) in 2hrs43 & 3hrs 15.

Deb and I have taken the plunge, we are now fully signed up runners for the Great North Run 2010 (and the Great North 10k). We are running for charity of course, and if anyone knows my wife you might have guessed there would be animals involved. We Are running for Guide Dogs for the blind.

Although after 13 miles i may need a few of them attatched to me to drag me over the finish.

Apparently there will be puppies at the finish line and i need to try and save some strength to stop my wife taking them home... no really she will try....no really.

We have to raise a minimum £600 (£300 each) so please dig deep and give what you can, promise this is the last sponsorship we will ask for this year, no matter what else Debbie wants to do.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
