Story
I work in a neurological hospital just outside of Salisbury. Every day I help with the rehabilitation of adults who are suffering with brain injury from various of causes. Whilst these adults are in hospital they are receiving care for their physical and cognitive needs, most leave and go home or other care placements but these people are never the same person they were before their injury. Their journey is just starting. I want to raise awareness for brain injury, I want to help raise money for a non profitable charity who helps to improve life after brain injury. Throughout 2014 I have been running a marathon a month for Headway and helping to raise awareness about brain injury, 2015 I have my biggest challenge ever to come The Marathon Des Sables "Known simply as the MDS, the race is a gruelling multi-stage adventure through a formidable landscape in one of the world's most inhospitable climates - the Sahara desert. The rules require you to be self-sufficient, to carry with you on your back everything except water that you need to survive. You are given a place in a tent to sleep at night, but any other equipment and food must be carried" If you would like to know more about this race please visit http://www.marathondessables.co.uk/ if you would like to follow me please visit www.unfit2ultra.com
Please take time and visit headway for more information on this well rewarding charity.
