I have decided to run my first marathon and to also use this as an opportunity to help raise money for a charity that we found extremely helpful when our daughter Sienna was born 10weeks early in October last year. 

The work they do helps provide intensive care equipment that treats babies and helps keep them alive in those vital first few days and weeks to follow.

1 in 8 babies are born premature each year in the UK and you never think it will happen to you - BUT,  Having spent 10weeks ourselves in and out of hospital every day and night, we saw first hand the amount of equipment required in the intensive care unit and every piece of kit used is life saving at those critical early stages of premature birth.

Believe me after living this experience first hand, I would have donated any amount at the time to help our little one get through those early days. So, dig deep if you can, spare a note and maybe it just might help save a babies life and make another families experience that bit easier.

All monies raised go to Croydon University Hospitals Special Care Baby Unit.
