Story
Following on two previous successful walks, my third walk will begin on Monday 27 June at Raasay, Skye and ends later the following week at Eoropaidh, Ness in Lewis. We will be visiting church sites dedicated to the name of St Moluag. The walk will also include a sail to the Island of Pabbay in the sound of Harris. I intend to celebrate the Eucharist in Gaelic at the Great Temple of Moluag in Ness at the conclusion of the pilgrimage.
I shall be walking again with Steven Boon and Prof. Allan MacInnes, who are members of St Margaret's Congregation.
The walk is in aid of renovation of the stained glass windows in the Holy Name Chapel at St Margaret's, Gallowgate. The East window is Ninian Comper's template of Christ the King which became the standard design for subsequent windows. This design has been replicated in many churches across Britain, including the great East window in our St Andrew's Cathedral on King Street, Aberdeen.
