My beautiful granddaughter Sophie was lost due to undiagnosed Vasa Praevia. 

In memory of her and to celebrate her 4th birthday, I am running the Worcester Half Marathon on 17th September and Cardiff Half Marathon on 1st October.

I am running to help celebrate Sophie's life, that was far too brief, so she knows she is still loved and remembered,  and to help raise awareness of Vasa Praevia - knowledge is the key. When this condition is correctly diagnosed during pregnancy, it can lead to  a 100% successful outcome at birth, rather than the loss of over 500 healthy babies per year.  

Four years have passed since Sophie's death and the loss is still as great as ever. The pain is real and we miss her every single day. Please help by reading the information on Vasa Praevia and sharing with anyone and everyone. Forewarned is forearmed!
