We are all aware of how the current climate can affect our mental wellbeing and for cancer sufferers who are having to shield or just starting treatment, this can be an even more troubling time.
I lost my dad to cancer, my mum to breast cancer and my auntie has now started chemo for breast cancer during lockdown. The right support from people who understand and can quickly help is vital, especially now.
2020 is becoming an extremely tough year for all charities, especially small charities like Pink Sisters Cancer Support. They have so much to look forward to with their first drop in centre which they are currently in the process of refurbishing.This will be an invaluable place for cancer sufferers to meet and talk to others with cancer and most importantly survivors to help them through what is a traumatic and scary time.
