Story
Teesside Hospice offers palliative care for people over the
age of 18 who are living with a life-limiting illness when a cure is no longer possible. It costs £6,000 each and every day of the year to keep the service running, care is provided free of charge to patients, their families and carers.
Each year it costs £2.8 million to provide the service and supports 3,000 people across Teesside. Grants and NHS funding cover around a third of this expenditure, which means the rest of our work is funded by individuals, organisations, businesses and foundations.
Debbie's mother was looked after in the Hospice and she was well looked after. Her family was treated with dignity and respect and she felt welcomed by the nurses.
Please sponsor our team of walkers to raise money for such a worthwhile local cause!
