Like The Full Monty But With Our Clothes On ?

Is that a good enough reason for us to get on a dance floor and risk making complete fools of ourselves  next week (28th May)  :)  

Yup, that's us.. in the picture above. #TeamMonton Just a group of people who thought this might be a really good FUNdraiser....

a group of mostly quite erm.. mature people..who just thought we could all have a good  laugh, have an excuse to wear a sari, and hopefully, fingers crossed, make a decent amount for St Ann's Hospice at the same time..

You only have to look at some of the fundraising challenges to witness the great work that St Ann's Hospice do....people swimming the channel, running a marathon,skydiving, in memory of loved ones and in gratitude to The Hospice for the work they do.

They make life as easy as possible for not just the 'patient' but the entire family.

And they need.....£"16,000 A DAY to keep going...

So, a group of complete amateurs,mostly ladies, are coming together on 28th May to wiggle around on a  dance floor,looking very sparkly and hopefully doing 'Mahi Ve' some justice, and, in the process, raise as much money as humanly possible for the Hospice.  

They are not funded by the NHS...

How we are raising the money :

• 100% of ticket sales goes to Hospice.(the 'offline' donations are ticket money collected in cash,You can buy them at Monton Post Office/ through our Facebook Page
• Pizza and Pakora Pick And Mix Buffet Local residents and restaurants donating Pizzas and Pakoras...Guests asked to help themselves and donate for their food. 
• Raffle - Local Businesses have donated prizes, little bits and pieces,
• Collection Boxes around, for change on the bar..
• THE SPONSORED DANCE .. yeah..OUR BIT . We've been out collecting sponsors on forms, well some of us have, Katie has got £68 by going round at school, Linda has £50 of sponsors from regulars at the Liberal Club

In case you're wondering...The Event has been paid for by local businesses.. so no costs are coming out of YOUR donations...
