At the end of 2018 we received sad news from the White family, whose son Danny swims at our club, that Sonia White had unfortunately developed breast cancer. Sonia has a long course of treatment ahead of her and obviously, we hope and pray this treatment is successful. 

Sonia throughout the process has been an icon of strength, grace and bravery and we cannot imagine she will be any different with the fight ahead, and the club is behind her every step of the way.

In support of Sonia, and at the request of Danny and his friends, we are holding a 24 hour sponsored swim at the Life Centre, with the aim of swimming as far as we can as a club to raise as much money as possible to support Primrose Foundation, Sonia's charity of choice.

We hope you can join us at the pool and donate generously to such a worthwhile cause.
