The charity is registered as Devon Partnership NHS Trust Special Charity and gives hope and support to those with mental health and learning disability needs across Devon and nationally. Our charity raises funds to make a difference to the people we care for and provides a platform which encourages recovery, well-being and draws closer links to the community.

I manage the Devon Recovery Learning Community, a service provided by DPT that offers free, open access courses to promote mental health and wellbeing. Walking on Exmoor, connecting with the natural world, gardening have always been a source of peace for me, but I have recently experienced the life-changing benefits of cold water immersion swimming to my mental and physical health, to my body confidence, as well as bringing me a sense of aliveness and enjoyment, being with like minded others challenging ourselves to do the extraordinary.

I am privileged to be able to manage this service that allows us to offer these kinds of Recovery learning opportunities through our programme of Wild Things! and I wish to raise these funds to bring greater awareness of the life-changing benefits these activities bring to our mental health.
