For the second consecutive year Firefighters from Doncaster Sheffield Airport will take on a gruelling two day challenge, cycling the width of the country to raise money for the Children's Hospital Charity.
On 9-10 September 16 riders and 2 support drivers will take on the Coast to Coast challenge (C2C), beginning at Morecombe Bay then across the Yorkshire Dales for an overnight stay in Masham. Day 2 passes through the North Yorkshire Moors, finishing in Scarborough for a celebratory portion of fish and chips!
Doncaster Sheffield Airport has partnered with the Children's Hospital Charity in Sheffield since April 2016 and has raised over £30,000. The funds have supported the charity’s key aims of building a comfortable & engaging environment, and remaining at the forefront of paediatric care.
The airport is currently raising funds to help build a helipad on the top of the Children’s Hospital and our aim is to raise £1000 from the Coast to Coast challenge. But with the support of your kind donations we hope to surpass this easily and beat last years total of £2,150. Every donation small or large really does make a difference to the thousands of children who visit Sheffield Children's Hospital every year.
Every person who makes a donation will be entered into a free prize draw for the opportunity to win 12 tickets in a VIP box at Fly DSA Arena, Sheffield. There is one prize to Disney on Ice 10th November at 2.30pm, and one prize to a Sheffield Steelers home match in the 2019/2020. If you do not want to be entered into the draw please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
