Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page, we broke the £1,000 mark on Good Friday with donations still coming in - which is brilliant.  I've raised the bar again to £2,000 as I know that the money is going to make a real difference to the charities.  Many thanks to everyone who has donated so far.  As I write this (18/4) the total (including Gift Aid) is over £1,600 which is truly remarkable.

My plan is to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats in April–May 2009. I hope to take in some other extremities of this Sceptred Isle:- The Lizard (S), Ardnamurchan Point (W), Cape Wrath (NW), Dunnet Head (N), Duncansby Head (NE), Cape Cornwall (Britain's other Cape) and possibly the Orkneys. 20 days should be enough to cover the 1,200 miles.  My blog is up and running at http://dontstoptillorkney.blogspot.com/ , Thanks to the miracles of technology I will hopefully keep the blog up to date with my diary and photos between now and the end of the trip.

I'm raising money for CORD (www.cord.org.uk) a charity that assists people displaced by conflict to rebuild their lives and NOTDEC www.notdec.org.uk which supports an orphanage in Uganda.

60% of the money raised through Justgiving will go to CORD and 40% to NOTDEC, (the split is handled automatically), all you have to do is sponsor me.  Sponsoring me through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. If you are a UK taxpayer CORD and NOTDEC will also automatically get 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks,

Richard Young
