DON'T FORGET!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Dosthill Boys Club is a voluntary run youth organisation, funded by fund raising and our very successful Social Club that is attached to the Boys Club.
Pete Garton is one of our many dedicated volunteers that gives his time freely to provide sporting activities for the young people that attend our club, he is also our hard working volunteer Social Club Secretary.
In March 2010 Pete suffered a massive heart attack, due to the marvellous medical care he received at Heartlands hospital, Pete made a slow but full recovery.
During his rehabilitation Pete remained dedicated and committed to the Boys Club and he continued his voluntary work to the best of his ability.
Pete is still monitored by the hospital but is back to full strength.
As a thank you Pete is organising a charity night at Dosthill Boys club, with all the proceeds going to the British Heart Foundation and everyone barstaff, DJ, entertainment are giving their services for free.
Two of our social club members are also doing a sponsored walk to help raise funds. Martin Watson and Hannah Garton will be walking from Gas Street Basin in Birmingham Back to Dosthill, Tamworth on Saturday 1st October. Please help by sponsoring them.
I know the pleasure Pete would get if you could possibly donate anything towards the Bristish Heart Foundation, you must agree that it is for a fantastic cause and would be gratefully received, as we are having an auction during the evening.
Thankyou
