Mr Webb is a member of Cader residential staff and one of the Outdoor Education team at St David’s College, most people will have seen Mr Webb’s photographs in the Lion magazine and on the Outdoor Education department’s Facebook page.

To support the Outdoor Education department’s idea that was put to the SDC Parent Teachers Association last year for a new classroom and teaching area, Mr Webb will be walking ALL the way around Wales,

His walk will now cover 1047 miles instead of the original 870 miles. His route will now include the Offa’s Dyke starting from Prestatyn in the north, finishing just outside Chepstow in the south. Then he will start the Wales Coast path to just outside Chester in the north. I hope to leave on the 10th July, arriving in Chester on around the 3rdSeptember

As all parents of the college will know the department offers a wide range of outdoor education and activities to the whole school from Year 6 to our Upper 6th Form, helping each pupil develop and increase not only their personal skills, but also their skills as working as part of team and helping them discover new and challenging adventures in the outdoors that will give them memories that will last them a lifetime.

Mr Webb has created a Facebook, Wordpress Blog page which staff and parents will be able to follow his daily progress along his walk. You will also be able to follow Mr Webb on Twitter. Please have a look at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dragon-Walk-2012/258102517596972 and if you belong to Facebook please click the like button. Wordpress blog can be found athttp://dragonwalk2012.wordpress.com and @DragonWalk2012 on Twitter.

You can also follow his progress via http://www.shareyouradventure.com/map/os/DragonWalk2012/Dragonwalk-2012 where you will get an almost live update of how far he has walked, and where he is so far.

Mr Webb hopes that pupils, parents and Old Davidean's will support this project as an opportunity to better the school's outdoor education resources. He is looking for sponsorship through his JustGiving Page which will be up and running soon. Anyone who might be able to offer accommodation, food (and drink), along the way would be also very welcome.

If any staff or parents would be interested in walking any part of the path, no matter how long or short the distance please feel free to get in touch with Mr Webb as he will be glad of the company.
