Water is a basic necessity of every human being. We in the developed world take water for granted. All we have to do to access basic clean water is to turn on the tap and out it comes gushing. However, there are parts of the world where water is more of a luxury because it is not as easily accessible.

In parts of Africa people have to walk 6 kilometres just to access small amounts of clean water. Each year around 5 million people die because of not having access to clean water.

I am collecting money for Islamic Relief’s Water4Life campaign. By donating you will help build water supply systems in deprived areas, dig and restore water wells, implement water purification projects and other such projects.

Next time you have a glass of clean water in your hands, remember that there are others around the world that do not have this luxury. Please remember them and donate what you can to help bring access to clean water to those parts of the globe.
