Story

My hospice is a community. It's more than my place of work. More even than just being a provider of incredible health care.  St John's is what we together as patients and families, staff and volunteers, friends and supporters cause it to be.  And at my hospice we try to celebrate and enhance life; while being acutely aware that life can be fragile and limited.

So, I'm running my first marathon on behalf of my hospice community; in honor of the patients, families and colleagues I've been blessed to know over the past few years.  I'm taking on the challenge of running 26.2 miles and raising at least £2k because it takes £10k a day to enable St John's to do what it does.  And I want to invest in the ability of the hospice community to keep doing all that good.
