Story

“The Countess charity are delighted that the Watergate Street Gallery have chosen to support the Countess of Chester's hospital fund, Community fundraiser Angie Lopez would like to wish the gallery all the best with their fundraising, your support is most appreciated.”

Why your donation is so important ..

Any donations made to the online Easter card making workshop will be placed in the Countess of Chester's Hospital Fund

This fund is available to all ward managers for them to request funding for items which will benefit their patients & staff.

All donations will be most appreciated especially as we begin to recover from the Corona virus this fund will be called upon by our nursing staff even more.

More about the art workshop ...

This project is aimed at any age group, we have cute collage chicks in floral fields for the young ones, crazy patterned easter eggs for slightly older kids and if you can manage to cut and paste very neatly then we challenge you with an abstract floral arrangement   All Easter themes but the florals can apply to any card.

Its about enjoying working with paint, letting colours blend and making marks using different drips and splatters in a crazy as well as controlled way.  You may need to let things dry before you start to construct your card, also if you like you can use stencils or computer print out saying Happy Easter or go freestyle with your writing.  I prefer to leave the card blank and let the art speak for itself.

We really advise you wear old clothes and an old painting apron or shirt, roll up sleeves and if possible have some wet wipes to hand.

The session will take about 45 minutes and we use items we have prepared earlier and had time to dry…nothing worse than watching paint drying😊
