We manage high quality public open spaces to ensure it will be cared for forever.

Story

On the 3rd May 2015, park staff and volunteers will be carrying out continuous wildlife surveys at Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park, from dawn at 5.30am to dusk at 8.30pm across all the habitats in the park and recording species present.

The park is a particularly interesting site to carry out an intensive day of surveying, as it is a man-made site located in the heart of a rapidly growing urban community.  Since it was created in 2000, it has attracted an amazing variety of wildlife, with 14 different species of dragonfly and damselfly, over 180 species of moth, around 46 species of bees and wasps, as well as  nesting Reed Warblers and Common Terns.

I am doing this because Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park are seeking to raise £60,000 to build an Outdoor Classroom.  This amazing and innovative new eco-building will CONNECT people in the inner city with nature and will enrich the lives of people living in such an urban environment.
