Well so far we have raised enough money for 2 defibrillators and training package for 2 Schools in the Northwest, the first being St Hilda's CE Primary School in Firswood, and the second being Moss Park Junior School in Stretford. The reason for these 2 schools in that Ed's sister-in-law works at St Hilda's and originally came up with the idea, and Janet (Ed's wife), and many of her family went to Moss Park School spreading over a 50 year period.
As a family we have had nights raising money in Ed's Memory, we have recently had a hand on heart night at 1st Flixton Beavers where they raised £50, we had a charity night a Flixton Golf Course, Ste ran the Manchester 10k in May last year, and many bake sales at various different locations. We have also had numerous individual donations throughout the year, to which we are all very grateful for.
We have not got far to go now to reach our 3rd and final goal of getting another defibrillator for a local School. This will leave a lasting legacy in Ed's memory and help to create a safer environment for the children that attend these schools.
Ed Rowley passed away suddenly on the 4th February 2014 at home whilst working on his minibus.
As we know Ed had his own minibus company transporting children around the trafford area to and from school. He was very well thought of throughout the community, and with this in mind we ask you to be generous in his memory.
We are raising funds to purchase as many defibrillators for the local schools that Ed served. This will help to prevent the deaths of young people who die due to sudden cardiac arrest.
Please help to raise as much as we can to buy as many defibrillators as possible.
