We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

On September 11th, Richard Boyd, Willie Anderson and Stewart Warwick will attempt to complete the Three Lochs Ultra, a 49-mile, continuous hike. We will be assisted by our support crew, Andy Gardner and Michael Loughray

We should know better than to take this on. Ask our wives, and our GPs. On the wrong side of 50, dog walking and a bit of light tennis have been the height of our physical exertion for the last 20+ years. We still haven't discovered the joy of triathlons, and we're not so much shredded as amply padded. Recent training walks have only served to highlight the massive gap between current abilities and our glorious youth. We are relying on the vanity, denial and bloody-mindedness of middle-age to drive us towards (if not necessarily over) the finishing line!

Please give us a more noble motivation by sponsoring us in aid of Brain Tumour Research, a charity with particular resonance to us, close friends having lost a child to this dreadful disease.

Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. See below for more information.
