To provide a parting farewell thanks to Paul Marcus (our Regional Operations Director for the North) who retires from e.surv on 31 January 2021, we’re raising funds for a charity close to Paul’s heart: The Teenage Cancer Trust.

In support of Paul’s love for rugby, we’re completing a 761 mile virtual sponsored walk/run/swim/cycle around the main rugby stadiums throughout the country. We will travel from Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh to Leicester Tigers Stadium (where Paul has been a season ticket holder for years) via The Kingspan Stadium, Belfast, The Aviva Stadium, Dublin, The Principality Stadium, Cardiff, and Twickenham London. 

We have 4 competing teams: Team North, Team Central and Team South mainly comprise Area Managers (led by their Regional Operations Director, or ROD), and THE CHALLENGERS includes colleagues from other e.surv departments.

Each team will combine their daily distances to cover the 761 miles. The team that reaches the 761 miles first will be the winner!
The average mileage per person is 63 miles (based on a team of 12), which equates to 2.11 miles per day for 30 days. However, our more competitive colleagues may (definitely will!) do more to win the race!

The official start will be 1 January 2021 with a finish date of 30 of January (but we expect that some teams will complete the 761 miles more quickly than this).
We will update on the Teams’ progress once the competition has commenced!
