Story
Over the last few years, I've mentioned a few times to friends that I had a goal of running a marathon.
If I'm honest, I always thought I was joking - but apparently I wasn't!
Completing a full marathon would be an incredible personal achievement for me, and I've decided to go for it.
I've lived in Brockley in South East London for the past three years, and I'm really keen to use this challenge as a way to do something positive in my local area.
The Marsha Phoenix Memorial Trust is a supported housing project that provides accommodation for young homeless women aged 16-21. The Trust gives young women a secure base and empowers them to develop self-respect, confidence and purpose so they can move on to live more independently. The Trust has two hostels (one of which is just down the road from my flat!), and alongside accommodation, offers education and resettlement services.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! Any donation you could make will have a real impact for the Trust, which will definitely help me build up my miles ahead of the big run. I really appreciate all your support.
