Story

What will I do?

I will walk 50 miles of the West Highland Way over two days.  Over moor and mountain, in rain, hail or shine I will march on -  to raise money for RoSPA campaigns.  Please sponsor me!  Read on to find out exactly what your donations will do.

Why support RoSPA?

Accidents:

·         Kill 14,000 people each year across the UK

·         Are the major cause of death up to the age of 39 and the leading cause of preventable, premature death for most of our lives

·         Are the main cause of death for children after infancy

 Where will your money go?

At RoSPA, we are indebted to the millions of people who have helped our charity throughout the last nine decades. Support for our work comes in a variety of ways, not least from those who raise money for our mission to save lives and reduce injuries.

Your donations will be used to help fund the distribution of our latest resource designed for children.  We want to make sure that every child starting school in Scotland this summer will receive a copy of the book “The Birthday Party”. This story follows the activities of Jamie and his family and friends as they (safely) make preparations for a birthday party.

About the charity

Every year in the UK, 14,000 people have their lives cut short following an accident. Millions more end up in A&E, many suffering injuries so serious their lives are never the same again. Accidents are also the biggest killer of children and young people... Yet they don't have to happen.
