Story
At 10 months old, my daughter Isabella's prognosis was less than 2 years to live. She is now 3 and a lovely, bubbly little hero making us prouder by the day thanks to a 10/10 stem cell donor match and successful transplant.
Not all children are so lucky and have to proceed with as low as 5/10 matches, or not able to proceed at all. Children on the transplant ward at the same time as us unfortunately didn't make it. That could have been us. Maybe if there were more people signed up on the stem cell register they could get closer matches for all patients.
It costs £60 for Anthony Nolan to fund 1 person on the register.
£4000 would fund almost 67 new potential donors.
