Emergency Funding · 14 November 2021

We feed 130 children in Lesotho who have either been orphaned as a result of AIDS or who are vulnerable for some other reason. Instead of worrying about when they might eat next, our food and food related programmes safeguard their health and enable them to attend school.

Story

Msizi Africa is an extended family and we will always be there for our children, and those we have worked with in the past.

We must respond to emergencies but this sometimes puts us in a difficult position financially.  Please help us plug the gap left by having to respond to a very dangerous situation.  For confidentiality, we cannot go into details but a colleague was involved in a very serious incident with life threatening injuries. We have had to pay privately for an ambulance, emergency care, surgery, and post operative recovery. This saved our colleague's life, but we really need to backfill this funding so that we don't struggle to provide our core services of feeding children. We are really worried about how to get our colleague home from South Africa and how their care needs are going to be met on a very long and complex road to recovery.

Please can you help us? Thank you :-)
