So here's the story, a few of us wanted to join together for a running challenge, in a fleeting moment of madness we decided the Lochness 24 Hour trail race seemed like a good idea (WHY!?). The race is a gruelling 24 hour race where we run around a 7km loop that includes forest, beaches and hills and see how many times we can do it in 24 hours, in other words, madness! 

Having only ever done a couple of 5km park runs between us it seemed like a decent challenge for us! 

We have 2 teams entered: 

'Bunch of Animals'  consisting of Struthers and Scott vets plus Jacksons vets staff Anna,  Vic,  Sarah, Alan and myself!  

'The Magic Goose Chasers'  consisting of the Fingland family and their plus ones!  -  Kirsty,  Adam,  Chiara,  Craig,  Lachie,  Jacquie and Sarah! 

The Canmore Trust is a charity close to our hearts. The charity was set up in the memory of Cameron Gibson, a dear friend of my from university, who we sadly lost to suicide. Suicide is a massive issue in the veterinary profession and as a group of vets and vet nurses we all feel this charity is a very worthy cause. Cammy's family and friends have started the The Canmore Trust to raise awareness of mental health, specifically men's mental health and prevention/postvention of suicide. They are doing a tremendous job and have big plans for the future so any money raised towards this will go a long way! We have all funded the race off our own backs to ensure 100% of the funds raise go to them.
