Story

This year 2 of my very loyal & lovely clients suffered the loss of their husband/step father. I personally had only met Chris once but having treated his lovely wife a step daughter for a number of years i heard some fantastic stories about what an important man he was in their world. He sounded like such a great guy who's family were the centre of his world. So when just before Christmas last year i was told he was battling with dreded cancer i felt a huge amount of sadness for both my ladies and their family.  Over the next few months i heard stories of how Chris's situation was deteriorating. Chris was admitted to Willen Hospice a couple of times I believe where he was cared for by the staff until he eventually lost his battle around 5 months ago.

For me personally I have been so sad seeing 2 such lovely ladies go through their journey mourning such a special man in their lives, i feel very honoured to be able to take part in this event along with my husband to raise money for Willen Hospice on behalf on behalf of Chris.

Willen Hospice also cared for my Nan Jean Hooper until the end of her battle with cancer back in 2003 and i'm sure at least every other person reading my story will know someone they have helped and supported.

We appreciate your support in helping us raise vital funds for this charity, would be great to see anyone on the day who fancies showing support in rememberance of Chris or anyone else they know Willen has cared for.
