Story

Hi all,

Following my own experience with encephalitis, myself many of my dear  friends & family are dedicated to supporting the Encephalitis Society.
http://www.encephalitis.info/

You, as friends, family and local community have been amazing over the last few years supporting our campaign.  I’m due to turn 40 in 2018 and really want to have raised a total of £40k before the end of 2018!

My next challenge is one of the toughest so far, along with the following amazing individuals we are all going to complete a 15,000 ft Skydive. Having a fear of heights this is a particularly important one for me to see if i can overcome my fear. Myself, Dean Constable, Sean Bennison, Damon Wilson, John Rawbone, Martin Cotter, Tony Anderson, Anthony Brown, David Bowler will be taking on the challenge on Saturday 30th June at Old Sarum Park, Salisbury. Please show your support and donate generously.

In memory of an amazing friend, Leon Dorgan, who was recently taken from us far too young, Chris Thompson, Martin Cotter, Tony Anderson, Steve Myers, Steve Taylor, Anthony Brown and I have completed the three peaks challenge within 24 hours we started at 5pm on Saturday 10th September 2016.

We climbed  and descended Ben Nevis first in 5 hours, Then on to Scarfel Pike which was the toughest of all taking 6 to 7 hours, and finally onto Snowdon which was the easiest of all taking between 3 and 4 hours to climb.

It wasn't easy but we motivated each other, we really had to dig deep and stay positive as we became more tired and drained. With the help of our drivers David Bowler and Chris Stockhill they got us to our destinations safely and helped us stay focused. Chris managed to get two sign written cars from Sytner Coventry where he works to advertise the challenge and draw in support, a big thank you to Sharon and Joe for making it happen. Thanks to everyone involved we have now smashed our target of £2000 and we've nearly raised £3000 now please sponsor us however much you can afford we’d be so grateful!

We’ll post future events too on this page and our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/encephalitishelp/

Thanks again for all your support.

Best wishes

James Pratt
