Done the 26 miles today!
Se(Bas)tian unfortunately could not join the cycling as he got injured last week and he is now walking in crutches, but he still got a medal for merit, for his effort, as consolation and support for him with his knee issue.
We raised 140GBP at the end (and I raised about 1000GBP with my work team), so I think we did quite well!!
Thanks to everyone for supporting us!!
We are R(aoul),R(aluca)&B(as).
1st R is a cycle fanatic, with cycling genes and lot of stories from when he was actively cycling.....25years ago (see picture black and white even, just to put it in perspective, from the peak of his cycling career)!
2nd R is an outdoors sports lover, tried climbing a couple of times and run the 10K of Lille (France) twice before starting driving 2 wheels motors (e.g.. Vespas) and getting injured. Now is joining the family sport: cycling :)
B likes to say he has cycling genes :), he likes sealing on Dutch waters and he is a proud blue belt in Kuk Sool Won (martial arts).
Our common passion for sports and caring for the others, puts us on the bikes on the 15 of September for a 26miles (42km) race to support the leukaemia research found raising.
Why leukaemia? Because is another form of cancer for which a treatment has to be found, and because so many of us know someone dear who suffers of cancer or already lost someone dear due to a form a cancer.
We will cycle on the 15 of September for all those who suffer of leukaemia, hopping that our small contribution can help to find a treatment for them, so no mother, father, child, partner will miss their beloved one.
Thanks for your support and contribution to this help us helping!
