Fairly Beloved Rabbit Care

We offer advice, rescue & rehome rabbits to improve rabbit care in Central Scotland

Charity Registration No. SC042706

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Fairly Beloved Rabbit Care is a registered Scottish charity dedicated to rescue and rehoming of unwanted rabbits throughout West Central Scotland.

Most of the rabbits within our care are placed with volunteer foster families who will provide day-to-day care for the rabbits whilst we attempt to find them a new forever home.

Demand for our services is ever increasing, with approximately 90 rabbits within the rescue service and a waiting list of over 40 rabbits to enter the service when vacancies become available.

We have new foster carers waiting to start, but don't have the equipment we need to get them started.

We are also appealing for equipment (new or used) to be donated, but we know that suitable equipment is often hard to come by.

As funds are tight we are appealing for people to donate to this special fundraising page to help us raise enough money to buy new equipment.

We need:

Good condition rabbit hutches with a minimum length of 5ft (152cm).  Estimated cost is around £50+ for a second hand hutch in suitable condition or £150+ for a new hutch of a suitable standard.
Good condition metal or wooden framed rabbit runs with a length of 8ft of similar.  Estimated cost is around £30+ for a second hand run or £60+ for a new one.  Good sized runs are very hard to source and are often very expensive, so it is often necessary for us to buy 2 smaller runs and join them together.
Good condition garden sheds or playhouses that we can convert into rabbit homes.   The cost of new sheds/playhouses is prohibitive for the rescue, but we have on occasion spent £40 - £120 on second hand sheds that can be converted for use by a foster carer.
Each foster placement created as a result of investing in new equipment could accommodate up to 12 rabbits per year depending on the level of adoption interest (which varies).
