Story
Macey is a very special dog in Forever Hounds Trust's care who has recently become unwell.
Several tests have been carried out, and on Friday 1st June, 2018, Macey was admitted to Rowe Vets Referral Centre in North Bristol. She was very poorly, and was kept supported over the weekend with fluids and pain relief, before being seen by a specialist vet. She underwent an MRI scan and we are currently awaiting full results from this, but in the meantime, this is the most recent report from the vets.
We are awaiting full spinal fluid results so we can determine the best treatment to kill whatever bacteria has caused these issues.
The MRI scan shows infected bacterial meningeal fluid around the brain and into the spinal cord creating severe pressure - a diagnosis is
meningo-encephalitis.
Overall, she is making progress in the right direction, which is the main thing but we are seeking kind donations to cover the cost of her veterinary care.
The MRI scan on its own has cost £2,000 so we have a HUGE vet bill to cover. We are really grateful for anything that you can spare so thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
