Bear Named Buttony

Fiona Thom is raising money for A Bear Named Buttony

Aberdeen Kiltwalk 2025 · 1 June 2025 ·

A Bear Named Buttony is a Scottish Charity providing support throughout the UK to children and young people who have a stoma. We donate Buttony, a cuddly friend, who has a stoma to children through a network of paediatric stoma nurses and direct through our FaceBook page. For Young Adults with a stoma we donate a wash bag full of non medical items to help them adapt to life with a stoma. Thanks so much for considering supporting our work. Together we can raise awareness and banish the 'poo' taboo!

Story

Thank you looking at our just giving page.

A group of us from Culsh House

have decided to take on the challange of the Kilt Walk this year. We are doing this to try and raise money for a very special charity Buttony Bear.

This charity provides support to children and their families who have undergone surgery to have a stoma formed. They aim to reduce any stigma and help children feel they are not alone by providing a teddy bear with a stoma just like them.

We would appreciate any donation for this charity and would give us the push we need to get walking!

Thank you
