Personnel within the RAF Shawbury Medical Centre will be attempting the National Three Peaks 24 Hour Challenge, commencing 28th July 17 in aid of the RAF Benevolent Fund.
If you have not heard of the challenge before, it’s a fast-paced and physical challenge that will require us to hike the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales respectively, within 24 hours and is considered by many one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges. We will be starting our attempt of completing the challenge within 24hours at Ben Nevis, Scotland (1,344m) via Scafell Pike, England (978m) and finishing at Snowdon, Wales (1,085m). It is estimated that would have hiked around 26 miles, ascended almost 3,000m and travelled 940 miles round trip to complete the challenge.
We would be grateful for any donations to a worthy cause and no contribution is too small.
Your support is much appreciated and we attempt to provide proof of each summit following the challenge and hopefully it’s within the 24hr target!!
Many thanks
Kelson, Becca, Jay, Beccy & Paul
