The Macmillan cancer longest day challenge is a long established event which raises much needed funds for such a worthy cause. The challenge consists of 4 rounds of golf played in one day ! This is by no means an easy task !

We as Firefighters decided to raise the stakes slightly.....well a bit more than slightly ??

How about DOUBLING the rounds to 8 in 1 day ??!!  approximately 30 miles & each of the 4 players must hole out on each hole and record the scores.

On June 21st 2018 myself and 3 other golf mad Yorkshire Firefighters will attempt to play competitive non stop golf for nearly 17 hours. Play will commence at approximately 04.30 am and finish at Dusk approximately 21.45.

We are hoping to set a target of at least 8 rounds but will try for more if we can ?

It will take place at the Beautiful North Yorkshire location of Aldwark Manor Golf & Spa complex.
