We support children diagnosed with cancer to relieve suffering by providing holidays

Story

Hello,

My name is Franco and I am a German Shepherd.

I am taking part in the "Dream Walk" to raise money for The Thomas Ball Children's Cancer Fund.

The charity provides free holidays for children who are suffering from cancer in two holiday lodges on the Hampshire coast and with a trip to Disneyland Resort Paris every December.  They also fund vital childhood cancer research, in particular neuroblastoma, the aggressive cancer that took the life of Thomas Ball seven years ago when he was just fourteen years old.

I will be walking six miles with my master Trevor who is Thomas Ball's Dad.  I never knew Thomas but I know he would have liked me because he had chosen to give me a home before he died. Six miles will be easy for me but I'm not so sure about the old man, he will definitely struggle.

The walk will begin in Gt. Missenden at midnight on Friday 18th June because this is the month that Thomas Ball passed over into the spirit world in 2003. Thomas would have been twenty one this year, please help us to to raise lots of money to help the hundreds of other children throughout the UK who are suffering from cancer.

These children deserve some special treats and a fighting chance of life.

If you would like to take part in the "Dream walk" in memory of Thomas or someone that you love, please email Thomas Ball's mum, Lainey at  tomballcharity@aol.com

Please help us.

Thanks for reading this,

Love Franco (Woof Woof)

About the charity

The object of the charity is to relieve sickness and distress among children suffering from cancer and their families. The trustees do this in any way that will be beneficial to the sick child & family. This is usually in the form of free holidays taken in one of the charity's properties on the coast in Hampshire. It also provides play/medical equipment for hospitals/individuals, organises special treats, raises awareness of childhood cancer & donates funds for UK neuroblastoma research
