Story

*UPDATE*

Hello everyone, thank you for visiting my just giving page. I am excited to say I will be running the London marathon on the 3rd of October.

I am overwhelmed by all the support I have already received. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me, it means so much me, my family and Helen Rollason.

Although training has been tough, I am excited, nervous and ready to run my second marathon for such an important cause.

The Helen Rollason Cancer charity is incredible. They continue to support my mum and our family, and we are eternally grateful for this.

I really hope I can see many familiar faces around the course on the day.  I will post my marathon number and how to track me on the day nearer the time.

Mummy, you continue to make us all proud.  You truly are an inspiration and such an incredible person. I am so proud to call you my mum. This is for you Janey 💗

Every penny counts so please help make my target and donate to this wonderful cause

Thank you so much for all your support 🏃🏽

*UPDATE* I would like to say thank you so much to everyone who supported me on Sunday. Thank you to everyone who cheered me off and those who cheered me home! And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who ran with me on Sunday: Janine, Aaron, Simon, Lee, Daddy, Guy, Hester, Dan and not forgetting Barney. I could not have done it without you. What made Sunday really special was the fact Jane ran the final kilometre, so we crossed the line together!!

I have been overwhelmed by the generosity, all of your donations have been amazing, and Helen Rollason will benefit enormously. I also would like to say thank you for all the anonymous donations 💗

I absolutely loved the run (never thought I would have said that). The wet conditions were challenging but that didn’t dampen spirits. I ran the marathon in 4 hours and 14 minutes; a lot quicker than I had hoped. My course consisted of running through a 10-inch-deep burst water main, flooded fields and thick mud so it reminded me of school cross country! I hope next year I will be able to take some minutes off my time when I am able to do the marathon around London.

Love to you all,

Freya 💗 xx

October 2020

*UPDATE* I hope everyone is well during this crazy period. As many of you are aware COVID-19 has put a stop to some amazing events due to take place this year; the London and Manchester Marathon being two of those which have been cancelled because of it.

However, I am excited to say I am running the virtual London Marathon which is taking place on the 4th of October. What this entails is me running the 26.2 miles locally around Chelmsford and Danbury. Despite the new rules and regulations, I am really happy to say I will be running the marathon alongside some of my family and friends to help encourage and push me around the course! If anyone is interested in running part of it or even see me running part of it, please contact me and I will let you know my course🏃🏽‍♀️

Helen Rollason has been working hard to keep going and help cancer patients during the past months of uncertainty and any money you can donate through my link would be amazing. The money can be accessed by the charity immediately, so they use it as soon as you donate it so please please help me reach my target and help this incredible cause.

I can’t thank everyone enough for supporting me and I really hope you can cheer me on ‘virtually’ or in person on the 4th of October. And of course, thank you to everyone who has donated so far, it means a lot to
my family and I as well as the charity💗

Every penny counts 😊

August 2020

In April of this year, my world was turned upside down when my lovely Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. I still don’t think it has really sunk in. I can report that Jane is doing just amazing - tackling all the treatment head-on and continues to be her marvellous positive-self!

Alongside all her treatments, she has experienced the great work and service offered by the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. They really have helped her immensely and as a family, we are eternally grateful for their work.

Cancer is a vicious disease which effects 1 in 2 people. The Helen Rollason Cancer Charity is dedicated to supporting people whose lives are affected by cancer. Their centres offer a range of complementary therapies to patients in an environment of peace and tranquillity. They cater for patients with all types of cancer, at all stages, whether newly diagnosed or longer term, throughout and after completion of treatment. I can’t thank them enough for all they do.

For a while now I wondered how I could help and show my appreciation for all they do for my Mum and other cancer patients...So… in April 2020 I will be running two marathons in the space of 21 days!!!

For all the amazing support Helen Rollason has provided to my Mum, one marathon just didn’t quite seem enough! Therefore, I am running the Manchester marathon on the 5th of April and the London marathon on the 26th of April. Before my marathon month, I plan on doing several other fund-raising events and I will keep you all updated along the way.

I feel privileged to be able to represent Helen Rollason and my Mum whilst running the two marathons. To make the London marathon even more special, I will be running on the anniversary of my Mum’s diagnosis. So, I will 100% be crossing the finish line even if I am crawling, crying or both!!!

And finally: Dear Mummy, we are all so proud of you, you truly are inspirational. You smile every day and tackle everything given to you. Keep positive - you are incredible! If you can get through what you have so far, I can most certainly do my marathons. This is for you Janey 💗

Every penny counts so please help make my target and donate to this wonderful cause.

Thank you so much for all your support 🏃🏽‍♀️

I will keep you updated with my training and all my other fund-raising events 😊
