Story

So I've entered the Bungay (a'hem) Half Marathon
again - but this year I felt torn about fundraising - can I really ask
people to dig into their pockets one more time..?

 'Hell, yeh!'

I think of Silas Pullen every time I run, even though his mum tells me he didn't think much of running, being 'more of a cricket and rugby chap' himself...

And then there was this...

Over the past year, I've been blown-away by the indomitable and all-round awesome spirit of my friend Claire Gay, who is fighting ovarian cancer tooth and nail, whilst managing to rock the most stunning hair ever (see pics below). So I figured I'd ask her if I could run for the charity of her choice this year and maybe do some sort of joint page.

But Claire didn't want me to run for an ovarian cancer charity; she wants me to run for Silas's charity again. She's fed up with 'bloody cancer' and wants to do something positive and pro-active. So she's channelling some of her fiercely-determined and fabulous spirit into raising awareness and much-needed funds for The Brain Tumour Charity, and the ongoing research into finding a way to cure and more effectively treat this nasty disease that is still the biggest cancer killer of children and young people in the UK.

So this year, please support Claire Gay by remembering Silas Pullen and donating to the Brain Tumour Charity.

Thank you xx
