As many of you will know, I'm much more used to putting my physical energies into my work on stage, however, as part of my commitment to The Hunger Project UK, on September 29, 2012,  I will be taking rather more than a stroll along 50K of The Thames Path to raise further awareness and funds for their important work. Please support me by making a donation, take the challenge with me if you like, that would be BRILLIANT! but what ever happens..I'm already walking it with my lovely chum Jane Haworth from English National Ballet and I need to finish before her (even if it's only by a nose)  and raise more money! I have been a Patron of The Hunger Project UK for the past couple of years and have played my part to support them in creating the annual World Hunger Day campaign.

 We just celebrated its second year at The Royal Albert Hall with a fundraiser starring Dionne Warwick & Friends, amazing night! Also, last year I created my own fundraiser in support of this entitled The Royal Ballet's Gary Avis & Friends which raised £50,000 to further their work. I'm hoping to do this again in 2013, but in the meantime, this year I thought I'd take on The Thames Path Challenge to raise some more funds.
