Story
Just in case you were not aware, I’m taking on the UK's number one team endurance challenge this July with my wife Sarah and friends Terry and Donna.
We are trekking a gruelling 100km (yes 60miles!) across the South Downs Way in a target time of under, yes under 24hours. We are doing it to help the Ghurkha Welfare Trust and Oxfam in their joint efforts to end food poverty and to help rebuild in Nepal after the earthquake.
While we really enjoy exercise, we have to admit this is something else for us! We are not marathon walkers or runners but our training has started in earnest and I'm proud to say we have battled some pretty dramatic weather in the last few weeks to get the miles in.
For more information see www.oxfam.org.uk/trailwalker/
We aim to raise £1500 to fund poverty relief work and reconstruction in Kathmandu. We would be indebted if you could dig deep and support us in the usual way via Just Giving.
Thanks so much for your support, your generosity will spur us on, especially in those last few miles. Anything you contribute will really make a difference.
Many thanks
Gary
