Story
On 13th April 2008 I would have been running The London Marathon to raise funds for the Downs Syndrome Association.Unfortunately i've had to pull out due to injury,it was a very hard decision to make as all the sponsorship i was getting was absolutely amazing and kept me running through my injury (Compartment syndrome lower right leg) which i shouldn't have been. Although the decision to pull out has left me feeling pretty low, hopefully i can keep your sponsorship as i aim to run the London marathon 2010 as the DSA have offered to confirmed my place for then.
My youngest son Jake was diagnosed with Downs Syndrome at 4 days old, and I now want to be able to repay the association for their support and information upon Jakes diagnosis, and also to enable them to continue their research in order that Jake can to continue living a fulfilling life , reach his full potential and be accepted in society.
Thank you for viisiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online as this is a charity that is very close to my own heart.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Down's Syndrome Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now, and I shall endevour to run and run and run!
Many thanks for your support.
Gary.
