With our elderly population growing and people living longer, many of our elderly population are in desperate need of care.  We expect this age to rise as the population lives longer due to the benefit of modern medicine and healthcare. 

In order to fund our work, we need to fill the gap between local authority contribution and the actual cost of the care residents receive. Our fundraising enables us to provide the high quality of care to all of our residents, regardless of their financial circumstances. 

To give you an idea of how our fundraising can be spent, here are a list of some of the items we buy in order to make our residents comfortable and mobile: 

· £10 Walking Stick 

· £30 Thermo-plate (to keep meals hot when eating can be slow) 

· £50 Zimmer Frame 

· £100 Specialist cushion to place inside a wheelchair 

· £250 Wheelchair 

· £1000 Riser/recline Armchair

Please do help! I may well be in need of a Zimmer Frame myself after this..
