Story
Men.
We need to talk.
Biggest killer of men aged 20-34?
Suicide.
Let that sink in. 1 in 4 men who die between 20 and 34 will have taken their own life.
Time to do something about it. Even in a small way. Get talking.
And if that seems like an impossible task? Then maybe distract yourself with a walk while you do it....
For the month of May I will be walking and talking my way round the South West Coast of England. From Minehead in Somerset to Poole in Dorset. That’s 630 miles of natter and chat. Your mental state or the latest Arsenal formation - I don’t care. I want you there and I want you talking (although preferably not about Arsenal...)
The target is huge - £10,000 for Mind. What a difference that - you - could make. The work they do is beyond amazing. The support they offer saves lives - plain and simple.
The challenge? Bigger. 630 miles in a month? Could be worse. 630 miles and 115,000 feet of ascent/descent? That’s equivalent to climbing Everest 4 times. Massive.
Don’t worry though I’m not expecting anyone to do the full 630 miles and 4 Everests. Join me for a weekend, a day, a morning. It doesn’t matter. Join me. Male or female. Young or old. Come along.
And if you can’t? Then please, please donate what you can. It’s a huge target and it would mean an enormous amount if we could get there.
