When I first met Barbara, 18 years ago, she was a bubbly, active, talkative person, who used a stick to help with balance. Her MS has progressed to the stage that she is quadriplegic and has difficulty in communicating . She relies on carers and has to be hoisted in and out of her wheelchair.  Her daughter and some members of my extended family have also been diagnosed with MS.

It is a nasty disability that effects people in many different and unpredictable ways. I want to do what I can to raise funds to help find ways to reduce its effects and, hopefully, find a cure.
