We raise SUDEP & epilepsy risks awareness to prevent deaths & support those bereaved
Story
4 years ago my beautiful cousin Ellis Powell passed away from SUDEP, which stands for sudden unexpected death in epilepsy. Although most people with epilepsy live long and healthy lives however epilepsy is one of the top-ten causes of early death and we unfortunately lost an amazing person to this at just 21. I am doing a 2 and a half mile high skydive for SUDEP Action, a charity who help provide tools to help keep people safe and on the priorities that support bereaved families. Losing Ellis has shown me the importance of living every second to the fullest I couldn't think of a better way to remember her then taking every once in a lifetime chance and try to help others along the way. This will hopefully be one of the many adventures that I've learned are so important. So please sponsor me and donate to this amazing cause and prevent other families going through what ours have.
At least 21 people with epilepsy in the UK die each week. SUDEP Action, is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting those bereaved by epilepsy, raising awareness of epilepsy risks and tackling deaths in people with epilepsy, including Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP).
