Story

It’s taken me a couple of years, but I have finally decided to do it – My head of hair is going!  In July (date still to be set) I will get my locks cut off and they will be sent to Little Princess Trust and become wigs.  These wigs I hope will give a wee child who’s lost their hair when battling cancer, a little bit of their self-esteem and confidence back.

As the remainder of my hair after the cut, most likely will be a bit of a mess – I’ve decided to get the rest shaved off and hopefully raise a bit extra money for another charity.  A few years ago, my Colleague Brenda Dawson’s son Charlie passed away.  He had been battling a brain tumour and was taken away from his family and loved ones way too early.  I hope we can make a difference for other brain tumour sufferers – even if just a small one.

I have a couple of times before had short hair.  One person thought I looked like Pat Butcher (not sure if I’ve forgiven him for that!); I’ve had to re-live that over and over again through my better half Ian who thought it was hilarious (I definitely haven’t forgiven him)!

To be honest, I don’t care if I will look like the Christmas turkey after the shave – it’s all for a couple of good causes!

I have started my Just Giving page. Please give generously and hopefully we can make a difference. Especially those mentioned above and there might be a glimmer of hope I forgive them one day!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
