I grew up on the beach near Melbourne with not a mountain in sight.  I have always loved the outdoors - swimming, sailing, cycling - and now living in Kuala Lumpur I have been trekking around the hills in Malaysia and have the chance to climb the highest mountain in Malaysia - Mt Kinabalu - which is 4,095m. And I am fortunate to be sharing the experience with three colleagues.  We are training in some amazing countryside in Malaysia and along the way I am getting a bit fitter.

Having been with Standard Chartered for more than 15 years. I have always been passionate about giving back to the communities we operating in.  I have lived in Singapore, Thailand, India and Malaysia and seen first hand the real difference we can make to people's lives.  

And importantly, with your help, I am raising money for The Standard Chartered Foundation ( https://www.sc.com/en/sustainability/investing-in-communities/scfoundation/ ) which focuses on tackling inequality by promoting greater economic inclusion for disadvantaged young people from low-income households, particularly girls and people with visual impairments, providing opportunities to make a better future for themselves and their families. The foundation funds programmes in the areas of education, employability, entrepreneurship and eye health and are the lead partner in delivering the Futuremakers by Standard Chartered initiative.
