Swimathon 2022 · 6 May 2022 to 8 May 2022 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 22nd March 2021 I received a living donor kidney transplant from my selfless sister Lara. This was a lifesaving procedure, one for which I will be eternally grateful.
Prior to my transplant I was unable to partake in any sport but post transplant I have been intent on regaining some level of fitness. I have been swimming regularly and thought what better way to celebrate my 1st Anniversary than to complete the Swimathon 5k challenge (200 lengths) and at the same time try to raise some money for Transplant Sport Northern Ireland.
TSNI’s aim is to promote the benefits of organ donation whilst also supporting patients (both donors and recipients) post transplant.
I realise times are tough so any donation, no matter how small, will be gratefully received 😊 Failing that if anyone has flippers they will also be gratefully received 😉
Wish me luck 🍀
