Through 2018 and into this year I've taken part in a few events all trying to whip me into shape and leading to this.... The 2019 London Marathon!!

I'm running on behalf of Haig Housing Trust and I'd like to raise as much as possible! 

Where the money I raise will go

A home can make a massive change to anyone's well being. It provides a grounding and enables someone to have a family life, a base to start from and hold down a job. Truly affordable housing is a very important but scarce commodity around parts of the UK and I am proud to say I worked to try and alleviate this problem for a small section of the community through Haig Housing.

Haig Housing has served the British Veteran community for over 100 years as the leading housing provider for ex-Service personnel in the UK. The Trust endeavours to help any Veteran in housing need, whether they are transitioning into civilian life or are simply in need of a helping hand.

The funds I am trying to raise will go towards Haig's work and specialist housing projects around the UK. For example Haig recently built a Veterans Village with the help of partner organisations and hundreds of supporters in Manchester, a transitional housing development for young service leavers and are currently on site with 68 homes being built in Morden for ex-service families. Haig regularly buy or create specially adapted homes for injured ex-forces so they can live comfortably and close to their support networks.
